Occlusal Splints

Q – My dentist says I will need an occlusal splint. What is it and are there more than one kind?

A–Splints may be prescribed to adjust the occlusion (bite),  relieve stress, or to protect teeth and crowns from damage due to bruxing (grinding) or contact sports.
